
he Galician Publisher's Association (Asociación Galega de Editores) is a professional body currently including
forty-five publishing houses in Galicia.
Objectives
The
AGE's aim is the defence, promotion and dissemination of the publication of books in Galician. It also works in the field of representation, management and advocacy.
Amongst our priority corporate objectives the following are to be highlighted: to define a common position of publishing houses about future book and reading acts for libraries in Galicia; to increase the stock of Galician books in public libraries; to define support policies with the Galician Ministries of Culture and Industry; to achieve acknowledgement of the administration about its historical debt to Galician books.
Structure
The General Assembly is the supreme body of the Association, which is managed, administered and represented by the Managing Board. Besides, the AGE includes several working commissions created for specific subjects such as textbooks, book promotion, AGE publications, etc.

services to its members, it organises training courses, it represents publishing houses in specialised fairs and promotes Galician books.
