Among the public action aims, it is worth highlighting the following:

• Technical conferences, scanning of contents
• Ongoing training program for publishing workers
• Action on workplace accident prevention
• Attendance at International Book Fairs

• Organization of the VI Symposium O libro e a lectura (Books and reading) (November).
• Organization of the V Noite da edición e dos premios anuais (V Night of edition and annual awards): Ánxel Casal Award for Book of the Year, Álvarez Blázquez Award for Writer of the Year, Neira Vilas Award for Best Children's or Young Adults' Book, Lois Tobío Award for Best Translated Book, Francisco Fernández del Riego Award for Best Publishing Collaboration of the Year and Isaac Díaz Pardo Award for Best Illustrated Book of the Year.
