How to become a partner

Article 5 of the statutes of AGE states, in its first paragraph, that the Association can be joined by:

1. Publishers, natural or legal persons governed by private law, whose registered address is in Galicia, having publishing books in Galician as their main activity (at least ten new titles biannually) and with at least ten books in Galician in their catalogue, distributed through the usual distribution channels.
2. Publishers, natural or legal persons governed by private law, whose registered address is not in Galicia, but having publishing books as their main activity (at least ten new titles annually) and with at least ten books in Galician in their current catalogue, distributed through the usual distribution channels, having published at least 50% of their items in Galician.
3. Publishers, natural or legal persons governed by private law, with at least ten books in Galician in their catalogue, distributed through the usual distribution channels, although not having publishing books as their main activity. Publishers from outside Galicia either with less than ten new titles published annually in Galician or with less than 50% of their items published in Galician, and also publishers who, although having a registered address in Galicia, publish every two years less than ten new titles in Galician will become part of the Association as non-voting co-opted members, although having a representative in the Board of Directors.
4. When a member switches its primary publishing activity to secondary or vice versa, and when a publisher from outside Galicia either comes to publish more than ten new titles in Galician or stops publishing them, or substantially reduces the number of items published in Galician to less than 50%, and also when a publisher whose registered address is in Galicia either comes to publish more than ten new titles in Galician every two years or stops publishing them, the member category may switch from partner member to co-opted member or vice versa. This category modification will be proposed by the Board of Directors and approved by the General Meeting, and will imply the immediate revision of the membership fee to be paid by the member affected by the modification.
